ABU DHABI, U.A.E.—Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers has announced a partnership with Canon Middle East to implement a Climate Contribution Project focused on compensating for unavoidable emissions related to Canon-based print operations at the hotel. World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance & Its Push Toward Net Positive Hospitality
It was 33 years ago that the International Hotels Environment Initiative (IHEI) was launched by a consortium of chief executives from 10 global hotel companies, as a result of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development. In 2013, IHEI closed down its organization and joined Business in the Community (BITC), part of the Prince’s Charities group, with HRH The Prince of Wales as president (now King Charles III). In 2020, the organization became an independent charity under the name of Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. Survey Asks: Should CEOs Speak Out About Changes in Our Climate & Sustainability?
CHANNEL ISLANDS HARBOR, CALIF.—A recently published online survey by GlobeScan involving more than 1,000 Americans conducted the last week of March 2025 finds that overwhelmingly, Americans want CEOs to speak out about changes in our climate and DEI (diversity, equality, and inclusion) initiatives.
GlobeScan is an international advisory firm that specializes in advising companies about sustainability issues and helps organizations reduce risks due to changes in our climate.
